SCUBA Diving Bahamas 6-09 : I had a great time diving, the sharks were awesome, I was lucky to be in the right spot at the right time to get some good pictures and video clips of them. View the video in full screen, much better that way. My camara does not have a zoom, I got up very close to them to get the pictures and video.

SCUBA Diving Bonaire 10-07 : I had a great time diving with my good friends in Bonaire. This was my 2nd trip there, the diving was great. I have been asked where Bonaire is. It is located 50 miles off the coast of South America (Venezuela). The island is boomerang shaped about 24 miles long covering 112 square miles. It is one of the few places that has very good shore diving or you can dive from a boat. As in all my diving galleries I have posted the water pictures first and the land pictures in the last pages.

Fiji WATER Photo's : I went to Fiji with 8 of my dive friends. We stayed on a small island called Beqa. There are no towns, cars or roads on Beqa only several villages with several hundred people in them. The resort we stayed at has a maximum of 60 guests, there were only 20 other guests and the last part of the week only 4 other guests. It was great to be on such an isolated island away from it all. It was very beautiful with lush vegetation and palm trees. The diving was good however there was some current to deal with some days. We did 14 dives total, 2 were night dives and 2 were shark dives. We learned a little about the very friendly people of Fiji and their customs. Awesome trip, next time I would like to stay longer as it takes 20 hours to get there.

SCUBA Diving Bonaire 7-04 : Diving in Bonaire is great, you can dive all you want and never have to get on a boat. We did all shore diving so we could dive when and where we wanted. The diving is great shallow or deep, Neil and I did our deepest dive to date there at 156 feet, Ray kept an eye on us at 100 feet. There is a lot to see, one of the neatest dives was a night dive under the Town Pier where the tugs dock. The first few pictues were taken under the Town Pier. All the photos, land and water, were taken with film, it was before I went digital.

SCUBA Diving British Virgin Islands 11-03 : This was a fun trip dispite the weather. It started to rain as soon as I set foot on the boat and did not stop until I stepped off the boat a week later. We lived, dove and sailed aboard the 36 foot "SCUBA CAT". It was on this trip that I met one of my very best friends Neil. Neil and I have been on many dive trips and have logged many dives together since that trip. I did not get very many pictures on this trip, my dive camara flooded the first dive and my land camera stopped working due to all the moisture in the boat from the rain. The boat was so wet inside mildew was growing on the inside walls. Every thing was wet the whole week, it did not stop raining long enough to dry anything out. With all the rain it was still one of the most fun trips I have taken thanks to the fun people.

SCUBA Dive Bahamas 6-02 : I took my Daughter diving at Grand Bahama for her High School Graduation. We stayed at Tano Beach at my friends time share. The diving was good, nice reefs, a few sharks and we even got to dive 3 wrecks.

SCUBA Diving Truk Lagoon 1-01 : Wreck diving on Japanese ships the US bombed during WW II. The battle was called "Operation Hailstone", it took place February 17th and 18th, 1944. US carrier based aircraft took off 100 miles to the northeast of Truk Lagoon also known as Chuuk to launch the attack. There are 45 submerged vessels and 270 downed aircraft on the bottom of the Lagoon. Truk is the worlds largest lagoon, it provided protection for the Japanese Fleet.Truk is located in the center of the Federated States of Micronesia and consists of many small islands inside the coral reef which forms the lagoon over 140 miles around. Thousands of Japanese died on the ships that now lay on the bottom of the lagoon ranging from a few feet down to almost 200 feet deep. Some say that Operations Hailstone was the turning point in the war as the Japanese lost many ships, aircraft and supplies. Some called Truk Lagoon the Pearl Harbor of the Japanese.

SCUBA Diving Palau 2-96 : Palau is a place I will never forget. It was a mega dive trip. I had only 6 ocean dives under my belt when my friend Pete ask me to go to Palau with him. After that trip he said well now you have pretty much done it all, deep, wreck, wall, night, cave, shark and drift diving. The diving was awesome, there is no other place on earth like it. This was also my first attempt at underwater photography, I managed to get some good shots of some large Manta Rays.

Fort Lauderdale Boat Show 10-06 : Every year or 2 I go to Fort Lauderdale wtih my Buddy Marc and help show "Smith Boats" at the boat show. It is fun but also involves some work. The boat we showed is a "Smith 45" it sells for $720,000. We deliverd one to the Bahamas one year and I can tell you this boat is built to take it, I think you would break before the boat would, that's what you pay for.
